Alumni Spotlight: June Artiles-Perry
June Artiles-Perry is a current student in one of Goddard’s UGP programs and is a co-owner of SpaceCoastCarbon, which produces and sells sustainably crafted BioChar. You may recall seeing June’s BioChar in Alumni Council’s Silent Auction in June 2020.
Artiles-Perry tells us that “Biochar is a process by which carbon is inoculated with a poly-culture of soil dwelling microbiota for the purpose of restructuring and remediating soil as well as capturing nutrition and moisture.
